Vladimir UshakovHead Coach Since Vladimir's arrival Surrey Water Polo has achieved significant success. He played 16 years of professional water polo with Dynamo Moscow and other clubs he has been a member of Russian, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan national teams, and participated in the 2012 Olympics. Vladimir has trained with some of the best coaches in the world, and has helped our athletes win numerous recreational and national medals. |
General Manager Ethan is from Port Coquitlam, BC from a family heavily engaged in water polo where he developed a passion for the game. He has been coaching for the last 10+ years and has helped his teams achieved numerous podium finishes on a provincial and national level within Canada. He has also had the privilege of working with Canadian Age Group National Teams since 2015. Ethan has coached for numerous programs throughout Western Canada, most recently as a provincial coach with Water Polo Saskatchewan. He is excited to return back to BC with big goals of helping the club continue to grow and perform on the national level. |

Evgeni MoshcovichEvgeni's water polo career began in Israel, where he participated with the Junior National program. He has participated in numerous FINA masters tournaments, and is a Water Polo Canada NCL referee. His experience will be a significant benefit to our high performance athletes. |
Alexis VozzaHaving spent her entire life in the pool with water polo and swimming, Alexis is looking forward to this new chapter with the Surrey Water Polo Club. She spent her summers playing and swimming within the BCSSA, before choosing water polo as her passion and sport. The transition from an athlete to a referee was quick, recognized as a Water polo Canada NCL referee as well as helping many young BC athletes learn to referee as well. Just as the transition to coaching was one of enjoyment and pleasure. She enjoys working with the athletes and helping them reach their best potential and achieve the goals they might set for themselves. She has spent the past summer coaching for the Agassiz-Harrison Aquanauts Swim Club, but is ever so excited to be back and coaching the sport of her passion. |

Yuri CowieYuri has been involved in water polo for 12 years as an athlete, referee, and coach. She started playing with the Haney Neptunes in Maple Ridge, then joined Fraser Valley Water Polo, and finally finished her career playing Division I water polo in the NCAA with California State University, Northridge. She graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and a minor in Chemistry and is currently working on her Bachelor of Education at UFV. With a lot of experience playing and coaching with various teams, Yuri is excited to start her journey with Surrey Water Polo to pass on her knowledge and love for the sport. |

Taylor LaineTaylor has been involved in water polo for many years as an athlete and a coach. She played water polo for the Coquitlam Sharks, Coquitlam Lions and Pacific Storm and was granted the opportunity to coach for all three clubs during her coaching career. Taylor is excited to start her 9th year of coaching, and first year coaching with Surrey Water Polo! She is looking forward to meeting all the athletes and, passing on her knowledge and passion for the sport. |

Vlad KruglikovskiyVlad has 15 years water polo playing experience in Kazakhstan, including participation with the junior national team. He has been coaching locally for 5 years, winning multiple medals in the Lower Mainland Water Polo and BCSSA leagues. Vlad graduated medical school in 1995 with a pediatric specialty, and is currently upgrading his education. |
Marie AndersonMarie has coached water polo in the Lower Mainland for the better part of the last eight years after getting her start with the North Delta Sunfish. She has been lucky enough to both coach and assist teams that have won Provincial, Western Canadian, and National medals over that time, and has worked with many talented coaches and athletes. Marie has experience coaching at all age levels, as well as position specific goalie training. This year, she is very excited to jump back into the water polo world and use her passion for helping athletes discover their confidence and grow their skills. |
