Surrey Water Polo Families,
As we begin a new chapter at Surrey Water Polo Club, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to Taylor Laine for her outstanding leadership and dedication during her time as General Manager.
Taylor has played a key role in the growth and success of our club. Her commitment, passion, and care for our athletes, coaches, and families have helped shape the strong community we are so proud of today. Whether behind the scenes organizing logistics or on deck motivating athletes, Taylor’s impact has been felt in every corner of the club.
While Taylor is stepping down from her role as General Manager to pursue her teaching degree (a path we know she will excel in!), we are thrilled to share that she will continue to coach with Surrey Water Polo. Her presence on the pool deck will remain a vital part of our athlete development and club spirit.
Please join us in thanking Taylor for all her hard work and wishing her the very best as she begins this exciting new journey in education. We’re incredibly lucky to still have her on deck with us and look forward to what’s ahead!
We would also like to welcome Hayley McKelvey to the General Manager role and coach in the club.
Hayley brings a wealth of experience to the role. A two-time Olympian and former member of the Canadian Senior Women’s National Water Polo Team, Hayley also competed at the NCAA Division I level with the University of Southern California, where she earned two national championships and a degree in Health and Human Sciences. She has spent the past several years coaching and mentoring athletes across Canada and is passionate about athlete development both in and out of the pool.
Hayley is excited to take on this new role and looks forward to meeting you all in person and working with you in the coming season!
